Brit, Thorens uses different proprietary headshells for different tonearms. This one is the TP-16 Tonearm and uses the headshell that I posted a picture of. The older series used a differently shaped headshell that was not offset. The later series didn't use a headshell at all, but the entire tonearm tube plugged into the tonearm pivot point. I'll dig up all the exact part numbers for you tonight

Snarffydoggy, I have been involved with turntables since I was 14, even going as far as building my own turntable and tonearm for a science fair in grade 12. Some guys were into cars, I was into turntables.

The seller has just mentioned there is a little problem with the automatic arm! :-k :-k

He will return with more info tomorrow.

If there is a problem like that with it, be wary. It will cost more to fix it than the price of the turntable.
