CARVER RESEARCH LS-2 on eBay

This has been bouncing around for awhile now. I think at his new starting price he might actually sell it this time!

Re: CARVER RESEARCH LS-2 on eBay

I have an appointment to go take a listen to this LS-2. I thought there was a thread about this amp and to be leery of it but I can't seem to find it on here. One of Bobs employees has it and said it was a prototype of some sort, an in between 1&2 model and that it was Bobs at one point and that it works perfect. Any input at all or a link to the above mentioned thread would be great, thanks. [-o<

I would have made an offer if the silk screening were better. I nearly made one anyway...I'm thinking if you can get it for $900 or better it may be worth it. IMHO.
In reality, it only matters what it sounds like to YOU!!!

Thanks guys! I'm going to look tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to bring $1000 cash and see if I couldn't leave with it, we'll see.

Re: CARVER RESEARCH LS-2 on eBay

Well, I just got back from looking at the amp. It looks really nice and seems to work good but he wouldn't budge from his lowest cash price of $1,100 so I walked away. I'd really like to pick up an LS-1 anyway and this unit not having a serial number among other things kind of turned me off. He did plug in a tube amp he just finished for me, a little 5 watter and we talked tube amps for a bit (he talked, I listened) as he's learning from Bob how to make and work on them. Nice guy all in all and worth the drive up.
