Lightstar 2.0 Amp Meters

After being in storage for 6 years, I hooked up my Lightstar 2.0 amps and they sound great as usual, but the meters are not working. I have (3) amps and all of the meters rest at some random value below -25db. If I turn the sound up loud they will move, but not like they are supposed to.

Any ideas?

Re: Lightstar 2.0 Amp Meters

I believe MagnaRyder had a similar issue with his Lightstar 2.0. It ended up being a little bit of dirt/gunk in the meters which they were able to gently blow out IIRC.

There is a little more to it than that. Tom has one of my Lightstar amps in Pittsburgh trying to rectify a meter issue. There may or may not be a repair?/? It sucks but what do you do when you own the pinnacle(not to mention the rarest of Carver's SS gear) only to find out it's SO unusual there are no replacement parts/repair on some of it. I DO remember being told there was no repair on the ribbons also. That was a long time ago.

When I joined this club I was CarverFest's only member. Too many people on the bandwagon.
