Carver HR-875 & 4 ohm speakers

So I just bought a pair of polk audio lsi7s and hooked them up to my hr-875 and they sound pretty good, but I'm wondering if they would sound better with an amp rated for 4ohm @ ~100w/ch. My manual says nothing about 4ohms only 75w/ch at 8 ohm. This site says that the HR-875 can provide 4ohm @ 125w . What?!
So my question is for all of you HR-875 owners/enthusiasts out there. Are you or have you run 4 ohm speakers on this receiver and are the power ratings listed here: http://www.carveraudio.com/index.php/receivers/hr-875 correct?

Can't speak to your particular Carver amp, but my experience has been that the Sunfire amps sound a lot better then the Carver amps for 4-5 ohm speaker loads.... :

Carver amps: 8 ohms good; 4 ohms not as good
Sunfire amps: 8 ohms good; 4 ohms just as good if not better (due to more power at 4 ohms)
