What is a fair price for Carver m4.0t and C-1 pre-amp?

Hi,

I would like to post in the for sale section my m4.0t amp and c-1 pre-amp and would like to know what a fair price range would be to ask for these components. Hopefully I could get some advice here (not $20 :) about what would be a fair sale price. Thanks in advance for your help.

It depends on several factors, including physical condition, if you are the original owner, how they have been used, if you have the original boxes/manuals, if. they've been serviced recently (big one), & general health of the units.

Range could be a low of $150 to a high of possibly $850. Oh yeah, if they've been signed by The Bobfather, also :D

got pics & details?

Re: What is a fair price for Carver m4.0t and C-1 pre-amp?

Thank you BillD and TNRabbit for your quick replies. Yes, this will be my auction. I am the second owner of the Carver components, they are in very good condition physically, have never had any trouble with them in my system driving DQ10s or KEF 104/2s, sound is warm and full, with excellent bass and clarity. I do not have any manuals, boxes, paperwork, etc. I have owned them for 3 years, I believe they were purchased in the mid to late 80's. They have not be serviced either.

Thanks for your time.

BillD, I just realized you were asking me if the ebay auction was mine. No it is not and I was surprised to see the same components up for sale there! I guess it would be good to watch this and see what they go for.

Thank you.
