did anyone get an email from the carver site today?

Did anyone get a email from the carver site saying they opened up a new audio forum? I did not click on the link for fear of a bad site or virus. If it is legit, sorry for reposting or calling anyone out. I have been a member for 2 or 3 years and I have never received an email like this from the site.

I got the same email but I just deleted it as I'm not really interested in other forums or viruses. I signed up for the Klipsch forum awhile back before I found this place and just couldn't get into it.

Looks like another audio/music forum that is using our site to advertise. No thanks, I'll stay here where everyone adores me.

That is a site that some of us joined awhile back, but I don't know anyone that still posts there now. You can say just about anything you want there short of threatening someone's life. Bunch of crazy guys based in England.

I was a member of that forum for a while-- "Firkham Hall" (play on words-- "Fuck'em All")...it was fun for a while but grows tiresome quickly.

Agree with Wayne. I also took a look. Looked kinda of out there for my tastes also.

Re: did anyone get an email from the carver site today?

Nobody I know of still posts there. My recommendation? Don't click, don't reply. They continually SPAM other forums to get members in to talk about audio. Once you are in, all they want to do is curse at you or anybody and goof off. 2% audio talk, the rest is BS.

I actually got banned there for posting....and I quote, "Who cares?"

Someone was talking shit about one of the mod's' mother in an audio thread I was posting in and I posted the aforementioned because I didn't care to read the back and forth going on. With all the other trash talk on that forum, what's the big deal about some other member talking shit about his mom? Couple of days later, the site admin begged me to come back. I told him that him and his mods could Fuck off. That little bastard STILL e-mails me every once in a while wondering why I left and to join back in the discussions. Um, no thanks. I'd rather watch my dog spew diarrhea on the front lawn.

Tom, they were always banning folks and then having them come back. It wasn't personal, nothing there is.

A promise I made to myself years ago....

When I first discovered "forums", I told myself that if I ever got banned from any site? I'd never again return.
