Major carver purchase

Well I finally pulled the trigger on some new gear. While on ebay I came across an auction with a TFM 55 and a 490t with a C19 pre amp all in one for 1200.00 I thought this was my chance so I jumped in and won the things. The only thing is two of the pieces (newbe here can't sell in this topic) may be offered up due to the fact I have my eyes on some silver 7ts. From what I have been able to figure out, I think I got a heck of a deal. I hope all turns out well.

Congrats! that was a great deal! The last TFM-55 that sold on eBay before that one went for $750 but it was mint. The C-19s seem to sell for around $700 as well. Great system as is but if you have a chance at or need for the bigger amps, great but the 55 is no slouch either.

I'll be driving a set of silvers that I just finished with all new drivers. What I wanted in the mix was the C19 I already have a 490t. I will try the tfm55 vs two pm1.5s bridged just to see if there is any difference in sound. Here is a picture of the items being packed.

Yeah, French; me too. Only downside (to buying for own use) is that none of these have been refurbed (I assume). My daughter (eBay power seller) practically begged me to keep "bidding them up" (and no OO; I was not "driving the price up"...just trying to buy them like wrstps was! Not sure if "dibbs" appropriate on such a rare combo deal as these tho!). I'd told her we could probably get around $1800-$2000 from selling everything (including the wires) separately. But in this econ, who knows. Plus a lot of re-listing work and "shipping risk" involved to just split ~$500 with her. Might have worked at $1000, but not $1300. Whatever; I too would rather see a new forum member get these great pieces! Congrats!
