C19 Tube Question

Post by wrstps » Wed Apr 06, 2011 2:48 pm

I was given a quad set of sovtek 12ax7lps matched tubes from a friend that is really a tube nut. Where he got the damm things I don't know. He wanted me to try them in my c19. The question is will they work? I don't think these are interchangable with the current tubes. any comments would be helpfull because I don't want to pull my rig apart only to find out they won't work.. Thanks

Those will not work. If you want to replace use 6DJ8/6922.
Some cool Carver stuff!

nope-- different tubes all together-- find you some Amperex 6DJ8/6922 tubes if you like a warm, bloomy midrange.

+1 on the Amperex E88CC/6DJ8/6922/7308. The U.S. Amperex 6922 gold pin white labels are very nice!
It should sound like it isn't there!
