Bananas or spades....

What do you prefer? I have some Canare 4S11 that I want to put together for my biamped speakers and not sure what I want to go with. Bananas seem to be easier at the amp side, but I could easily go either way at the speakers... so do you DIY'ers have any recommendations?

Seems like folks like spades for a tighter connection and I guess better sound. I never bothered to test theory. I like the ease of bananas and I am happy with my system.

Never bring bananas with you on a fishing trip. They are bad luck!

I like locking bananas, but if they don't lock or have a FIRM grip, I prefer spades.

So I'm guessing that not all bananas are created equal.... anyone have links to something reasonably priced or at least has a good bang for the buck! What about the locking bananas that have been mentioned, how does that work?

I hooked up some new speakers yesterday.
I used 4 bananas, 2 spades, and two bare wire.

I used that choice because that is what I had to work with.
I had more spades, but mine are so thick they don't fit in to everything.
