Carver C-9 and Onkyo Receivers 9.2 THX

Question--can the C-9 be used effectively with current home theatre systems such as an Onkyo unit? I have a high-end unit (TX-NR3007) used as a preamp to feed my Sunfire amp for my mains and wanted to know if anyone has experience with this type of issue. I remember hearing the c-9 in the early days and wow. I though about running the Onkyo into the C-9 and then into the Sunfire…are they true bypass? Any comments on this will be appreciated.

If the Onkyo has an EQ in/out or tape monitor, that might the place to put it, but yes, you can run between the two units as well.

For music it should work fine. For video soundtracks in 5.1 where dialog is centered, maybe not so much.
