Tfm 45 lost power!

Does it have to be a ceramic fuse? I ordered the 12's but wont be here until next week. I have 10 amp auto fuses to test with if they will work?

I'd use anything 10 amp and below for a test. I thought it took a 10 amp slow blow fuse if memory serves ?

Put a ten amp fuse in. It didn't blow, but the amp seemed to hum louder and my meter lights aren't working anymore. Once I get the fuses in I'll run it thru it's paces and see if it was just the fuse or something more. Thanks for all the help!

Sounds like the "three amigo" adjustments on this amp might be way off..... time to re-set them or send off to Rita, et al!

My home PC went belly up this weekend ("AHCI BIOS not installed" is one of the messages...) so have not been able to respond to any forum stuff at home. And yes, I replaced the MB "boot-up" battery. This Dell has been a BIG disappointment. Guess I'll give HP a try this time...

Well it looks like I have problems. Put in the new fuse and hooked it back up. Hums through the speakers and can't hear anything from a source. Beemers, I'm probably coming Saturday afternoon. Wife love Ross park mall. It will make the trip for her.

Update - Dropped my 45 and HR732 at Pgh Vintage Hifi last Saturday. Got the call from Tom last nite that they were both done. Hopefully I'll be able to pick them up early next week. The shop was overwhelming with all the equipment. I got to see and hear the new Carver Tube amps playing....wow I didn't have a lot of time that day, but I hope to spend a little more when I go back.

Now that my 45 will be back up to 'new' specs, I'm thinking about replacing the CT6 with a tube pre. The top contenders right now are the Rogue Magnum 66 pre, the Dared MC-7P or the Rogue Metis (if I can come up with the extra$). Anyone have any experience with these combos? Don't have any place to audition, so really just looking for some experiences/feedback.

On the other hand, I bought an Anthem TLP-1 last year to replace the CT-6 and it sounded very flat in comparison when I hooked it up to the 45. I want to give it another chance since the 45 has been refreshed. I read a lot of good about the Anthem, and it sounds great with my M500. I'll throw the Anthem on the 45 when I get it home and see if anything has changed.

Any input on the pairings would be greatly appreciated!
