[NON-Carver topic] Selah Audio

Anybody ever heard of them before? They are based out of Raleigh NC [just south of] and I see that they use some familiar drivers in their designs. They offer custom stuff and I'm just learning about them tonight after a phone conversation from our brother in arms, Perry [PDR].

Here's a sampling of what they have to offer......enjoy.......

Apparently they offer kits as well. I'm sure you will recognize one of the above speakers.....it's the line array that Perry has up in igloo land.
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

Re: [NON-Carver topic] Selah Audio

Well.....I havnt built my igloo yet!!.....but its still early..... :D

Rick Craig from Selah is a really great guy to deal with....I have 3 of his kits....2 line arrays:the Symmetrica, the 128(Sedona) and a center ch, the Sardonyx. They really are nicely designed and like Tom said he offers kits....how I built mine.

Heres a link to his DIY galery: http://www.selahaudio.com/id274.html

If your handy with tools at all, kits are the way to go. Drivers, crossovers and plans sent out, you supply wood and muscle.

Danny from GR Research is also a great one to get kits from: http://gr-research.com/diykits.aspx
These are WAY above their price point.

Perry, do you happen to know the name/type/manufacturer/model of the tweeter in this photo?

Yep....

Its the Fountek NeoCd3.0M, you can see it here: http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/ribbon-tweeters/fountek-neocd3.0m-blk-3-ribbon-tweeter-round-flange-black/
Same type as my arrays only a smaller version.

This is the real high end in ribbons, but out of my $ range:http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/raal/

The dome mid is Morel and of course you know the Seas drivers.
