I guess the voltage rail is a lot lower on the 55 which is why it uses the 2 small high rail caps instead of the 2 very large ones in the 45 making it much more dependent on available wall AC.
....Automatic light dimmer.... :lol: :lol: :lol:

huh. the 35 and 55 both have a three voltage rail design. the caps are almost identical in both. the biggest caps are the 10000uf 100v . the ones in the 45 are much bigger but today's equivilent is so much smaller than the juice cans it came with. as a matter of fact, they are still available at a high price with tons of lead in time. i find the high majority of the time it is the first two rails that are doing most of the work anyway. 35v 60v, 100v if memory serves me.

the 45 is 35v 80v 110v but i want to say less current as more voltage is available. i could and probably am wrong though.

She told me the 55 was 100volt and the 45 was between 114-118volt.
