If I remember those were used as well as another transformer George refers to,the ones you speak of I believe had the multiple taps.
hewlew1,
Do you know the name of the company that makes the EMO 805 that George refers to?

Which output transformer/s do you have in your carverfest amps?
Steve

Stevek, I am sure that the transformers George speaks of EMO 805 were made by Edcor but they were wound to bobs specifications and as such are not commercially available through Edcors website. I think my amps have the EMO 805's as well.

Tonight while working on the suspension of my Ariston RD-40 TT I repaired the 9volt power supply(someone had set it up with a 12volt wall wort) I hardwired in a 9volt unit as the quick connect had come to the end of it's life, worked on the anti-skating and adjusted the range of motion of the tonearm. I also rerouted the ground and power supply wiring underneath it. On the front panel it has 2 removable plastic caps that provide access to 2 adjustable blocks to fine-tune the speed. Does anyone know what kind of pot to use so I can mount the controls on the front-side of the TT?

Hey Ray,

I think I have that same model of table. I picked it up locally off a eBay ad some months back and with the year I've had, haven't had a chance to fool with it at all. So I don't know anything helpful at all. Maybe we can learn a little together about it.

I'm not sure what the weeks going to be like, but I'll try to get it up to the bench and take a peak if I can at the speed adjust.

Mark, it's a nice table. The weak spot so far has been the connector under the chassis where the power supply plugs into the speed control. I hard wired a 9volt wall wort into it. I have some regulated lap top computer power supplies at work. I'm going to wire one of them in when I get some time later this week or next weekend. The speed control gets grounded to the chassis by way of a little spring that runs from the control box. This caused me a bit of consternation :-( You'd have thought Harry was in the room.
