M-500t v M1.0t

I'm not an EE spec-y kind of guy. but I noticed on paper the 500 has better THD numbers than the 1.0. but I think most every lower powered amp does.

So, does anyone have opinions about a M-500t vs a M1.0t - available power notwithstanding (whatever that means!). My buddy is a big believer in the M-500t's excellent musicality

I think the 500t is generally held in higher regard than the 1.0. Not to say the 1.0 is bad.

I will say that I prefer the 4.0t's overall and even my factory updated 1.5t over the 500t. Either is the 500's equal in terms of sound quality and have just enough more oomph to set them apart.
