Help with Sunfire remote issue

Post by jeffs » Wed Jan 28, 2015 10:16 am

I have a sunfire theater grand 1 with the LCD remote and I accidentally pushed the rest button with the button on the back in the on position. What can I do to get the factory programming back? Thanks any and everyone in advance for any help you may be able to give. I have talked to sunfire and bill the service guy but so fare no help.

What did Bill tell you? As far as I know, he's the authority on all things Sunfire....

I'm going to guess based on my experience that your only option is to see if you can borrow another TGP 1 remote and have yours relearn whatever remote functions you want.

If you were in the Houston area I'd loan you mine. Afraid I couldn't ship as they seem to be sensitive to being dropped, etc.

Good luck!
My office (and only) system:
Sunfire Ultimate Receiver (thanks jjptkd!)
Sunfire Theater Grand Processor (with original remote!)

Bill said that he did not know of any way to get the info for the amp part back. But why would Bob carver make a product that has a button that can self destruct a remote. Also thanks for the offer to borrow one if I am in the area.
