C1 preamp ?

Hello Everyone,

I'm a n00b looking for classic Carver gear that I can afford. An add I'm looking at states, "There is a slight zap heard a few seconds after powering up. Not sure whether this is a normal Carver characteristic, but it has no impact on the outstanding sound quality." This sound right?
Opinions please
All advice is appreciated............

my carver C-1 too buzzes for a couple of seconds after turn on, ... does anyone know what the issue might be?

Mine does the same. It has worked perfectly for about 16 or 17 years. I'm not sure it's an issue, simply an artifact of C-1 power up.
