They may be labeled "Tape Out" or "Tape Rec" also. You want to use these outputs because they are fixed intensity outputs. If you use the "Pre Out" jacks (providing there are U-jumpers in place between the preamp and power amp stages of your receiver or integrated) the signal intensity coming out those jacks will be variable, and controlled by the volume knob. Not a very desirable way of recording something through the pre outs.

I'm using the Tape Out jacks and it works great!!
