Issue 16 also has an article on the ALS and about the Carver/Stereophile lawsuit.

Thanks for the link, Steve. Its kind of frustrating -- none of the illustrations are included in the archived .PDF version of the magazine. Maybe its just my computer showing a glitch, but that's really frustrating.

BTW, couldn't find the lawsuit article. Where is it?

Nice link Steve thx, that lawsuit article was amusing. Looks like Carver could have had Stereophile by the short curly ones.

It just highlighted the massive "snob appeal" that is/was Stereophile.........I love it........Stereophile's lawsuit in the first place DOESNT carry any water, BUT Bob's countersuit DOES........lol, I dont think Stereophile had very good advisors!....... makes you wonder how good they were at evaluating gear?

Bob P - its strange, assuming your talking about the diagrams in the speaker wire article, they show up for me, gain vs frequency starting on pg 39?

If it doesnt work for you let me know, and I will download it and email it to you and we can see if it works for you. As an engineer myself, the graphs are interesting to look at.

The lawsuit article is on pdf pg 11.

Bob P - I would be interested in hearing your opinion about their write-up on speaker wires.

Hi Kauana,
Having just read QED's white paper on speaker wires, I can tell you that Sterophile "lifted" most of there article (at least the part you posted) almost directly from that paper....maybe they referenced it, I don't know...
