ALIII FOAM STRIP REPLACEMENTS??

Post by toftapts » Mon Dec 06, 2004 8:07 pm

Wow, what a great website! Perhaps someone out there can help. I recently purchased a pair of ALIIIs that are generally in very good condition aside from the foam strips running down the fronts. Does anyone know where I can get replacement strips, or whether it is okay to operate the speakers without the strips in place (dust on the ribbons)? Thanks for your consideration.

I`d try auto seatcover shop, I know they use a black foam that comes in long rolls.

Thanks Dave. Great idea. Do you think it would damage the ribbons to go without the covering?

Not at all. All other models have exposed ribbons.
