The only Carver amps that have ran hot on me were the M500t's. Every other one has ran pretty cool.

Been running the Lightstar all day long and it's pretty warm!
In reality, it only matters what it sounds like to YOU!!!

Even with the quiet fan mod, the turbulence that makes the airflow cool so well is still kinda loud. Maybe take a page from the TFM-75 book and put a baffle in front of the exhaust?

At my listening levels fan noise isn't ever a problem!

Hello I am running 2 TFM-25s Bi-amped to a pair of Infinity Kappa 8.1s. I have run them 6 to 7 hours straight on occasion and they only get luke warm and sounding fantastic.

In my shop system working the PT-2400 HARD for 3hrs on a pair of JL12W7 3ohm subs I got it up to 84deg and the fan was blowing a very slightly warm breeze out thru the front of the amp.

Worked the Lightstar on five 8" subs at about 1.5ohm for about 2 hrs and it read 124deg on my temp gun. By far the hottest Carver amp I own.

Cherry/260's and Baby Blacks run about 90-95 with all them glass bottles puttin off heat.

Never had the TFM-75 above room temp.

It's not even summer yet but yesterday, my SF 200x5 felt surprisingly very warm after an hour of not-that-loud playing. I expected cooler temps as I've gone fully active so I guess 'twas wishful thinking...am afraid the little Vornado will see some action sooner than later.

My eyes-brain coordination has really gotten worse. My Carver M-4.0t gets pretty warm after one hour of loud listening.
