AV-634 Bridging Question

Post by spreedizzle » Fri Aug 28, 2009 10:02 am

I recently picked up an AV-634 and will be using it to power my surround speakers, as well as my center channel. I will be bridging channels 3/4 to the CC and my only question is with regards to wiring at the back of the amp. I am guessing that the Positive cable from the CC will go to the Positive terminal on channel 3, while the Negative cable from my CC will go to the Negative terminal on channel 4. I also have my RCA out of my pre-out only going into the channel 3 input. Do I need to split this and also send the input signal into channel 4, or is this accomplished with the MONO switch on the amplifier?

Thanks in advance!!

I wish I could help you with this. I have only seen these out on ebay and never had a chance to play with one. I did some searching and could not find a manual. Well at least one that they were not asking money for.

Hope someone else might have one or know.
Some cool Carver stuff!

According to the back of the amp, you bridge across the POSITIVE terminals of 3 & 4:

Remember the bridge switch.
