Any Carver 5-channel amp bridgeable?

That's a nice amp Art listed but keep in mind its only 60 watts per ch. Keep an eye out as I have seen used Sunfire's 200x5 go for $ 500.00 to 700.00.

If this is for a bedroom theater go for the Rotel if not a used Sunfire 200x5 would be a sweet and juicy like these nutz. deal.

Don't forget this amp was designed to be biamped. If you did all three channels it would give u 150 a piece. When I was checking it out I had planned on keeping my Silver 9t's running the Amazings. That would allow me to run my rear speakers and center at 150 each. You certainly don't need bass speakers with those babies Art

Sorry I meant to say bridged not biamped. The 6 channels can be bridged to create 3 150 watt channels. Does that sound right. I'm really not that good at all the technical stuff. Most of my decisions are formed from listening. All the different stats don't mean much to me. You could also go back to the link I gave you earlier and read the info on this amp yourself . Art

Gotcha, Art - I am thinking the bridging would yield far in excess of 150wpc in 3-channel mode, as the 806x is 133wpc in 6-channel mode.

Anyone know the specifics of the 3-channel and 4-channel power ratings on the 806x?
