Carver HR-895 NEED MANUAL

Hello, wondering if anyone has an owners manual for a hr-895..(pdf) i'm bidding on one now on e-bay, i 'm gettin this one!!
can i expect the amp to be as strong as my tfm-15?

The HR-895 has about the same power output as the TFM-15 but is a completely different animal as it is not rated to drive speakers under 8 ohms wheras the TFM-15 will drive 4 ohm speakers easily. It also has a 75W centre channel amplifier and a 30WPC rear channel amplifier and also has the Sonic Holography feature that a lot of people like. A good buy if it stays around or under the $200 price point.

Thanks for the advice..I kinda liked the idea of it having a pre out for each of the channels, but i have a dpl-20 processer not being used, if i went with this, what carver pre-amp do you think has the best carver sound??
i'm trying to keep my 5.1 intact, but i listen to music in 2.1...thanks again!!

I have a Carver HR-895 that was damaged by lightning. I was watching TV w/surround on when it struck, killing all power. When the power came back on, the Carver was semi-fried. It came on, but the electronic functions didn't work. Volume control, bass and treble controls, balance control all worked, but the power switch, selectors for imputs, etc., all were inoperative. I really love my Carver and I paid too much for it to junk it, even if it is 10 years old. Anybody have any idea how much this is going to cost me to repair?

Welcome to the forum Dinorokr53. Unfortunately we do not have any manuals for the HR-895, Owners or Service. For servicing, the only place I know for sure that could fix this particular unit would be HiTech, Give Rolland a call for an estimate.

Thanks for the info. I'll call Rolland. I do have my owner's manual for the 895 but not a service manual. I really hope the Carver is repairable; it's an awesome receiver. And I've never even used its multi-room capabilities.
