Re: what is this stuff all about?

Yeah, something about when Phoenix Gold lost the rights to use the Carver name, and I think a lot of this stuff was made in China. Probably around that same time, but don't know for sure. I'm sure someone will post with the correct details.

That's a piece of Carver history; intriguing, but you'd NEVER be able to get it worked on if there were problems. No parts available. Pretty cool, though. Yep, marketed by Phoenix Gold before they lost the rights.

I heard it was out there, but, I had never seen the stuff before. The amps look like an illegitimate son of a Lightstar.

Re: what is this stuff all about?

All of the information on these units is in another post from Jan 24th. The Processor is actually a Sunfire-Carver C1000 piece that Phoenix Gold was attempting to market under the Carver Digital name. The amplifiers are Carver Pro amps re-badged by Phoenix Gold, if you look at the pics in the other thread you can see the backs of the amps still have the original Carver logo on them while the fronts have the logo that Phoenix Gold had the rights to, and I'm glad to say they HAD the rights to... They have since been purchased by Directed Electronics who has not attempted to do anything with the Carver Digital or Carver Pro names that Phoenix gold came up with since they could use the word Carver... See link...

Re: what is this stuff all about?

Yes indeed Toymaker, Sunfire inside with an outside look that was obviously and poorly ripped off from a C-1000. BTW Toymaker, you do know that the picture of the single "hair" thread I/C that I posted earlier is actually a real piece that some real "fu*ktards" are selling as quality stuff?
