Sound processor to use with my AlS speakers

I would like to upgrade to a 5.1 surround system but yet keep my Carver Amazings in the mix. I also want to keep my Silver 9t's. Is there a processor out there that would allow me to do this.The dealer here has told me that I would have to eliminate my preamp(C1) from the system in order to do this. There are only a certain number of preamps that will run these monsters properly. Any suggestions. Art

Art, any capable Dolby Digital outboard processor should allow you to do what you want. Insert it into the External Processor loop of your C-1.

I'm not sure I agree with your last sentence regarding the C-1 being the only thing that will run your monsters properly. What does a preamp have to do with "running" a pair of speakers, or even power amps for that matter? If you're talking about losing the hologram function, well that might be the only thing you'd lose.
