I learned that Bob left the Carver Corporation because the board wanted him out, BUT, did he leave Sunfire on his own terms? Does he currently have any business dealings still with Sunfire? Is the gear that is made today as good as it was 10 years ago? Thanks in advance for the answers!

Re: Bob Carver's relationship with Sunfire
I can answer the last question by just saying that manufacturing went overseas starting with the TGP-5 and the 7x00 series of amps.
It should sound like it isn't there!

Re: Bob Carver's relationship with Sunfire
I think Bob wants to mess around with tube amps more now. He still is involved in Sunfire but I don't know how much. Might be as a technical advisor.
Some cool Carver stuff!

Re: Bob Carver's relationship with Sunfire
About 2-3 years ago, Bob SOLD Sunfire to the Nortek Group. Sunfire was taken under Elan's wing (another daughter company of Nortek) to bring them into the fold.
Bob is currently an "employee" of Sunfire, and it's head engineer.

Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
