Hi-Tech Audio (Carver Equipment Repair)
Hi-Tech Audio (Carver Equipment Repair)
Just dropping to say hi. Hope all you Carver fans are doing well. Just wanted to update everyone on the shop. We are still doing great and have many happy customers. Are prices are still the same for the total chassis refresh. $299.00 total recap plus all repairs and update on all M series amplifiers and all TFM series amplifiers less the TFM-75 as they are basically mono block in one package so they are more $$ for total recap. We hope all are getting through this rotten economy its getting a bit on the ugly side. If anyone is interested in a special offer we are doing some free upgrades for January and February the upgrades are polypropylene bypass capacitors in the analog preamps such as the C-1 C-2 and all the amplifiers. Also if on a budget we can offer a lower rate on repairs if you just want repairs, they will be in the neighborhood of $179.00 to $229.00 plus shipping. The chassis refresh is still the best way to go but if we can trim some dollars to help out we are happy to do so. Take care. PS I will try to stop in more often but we have been quite busy. Thanks again for all your support.
Sincerely,
Rolland

I have a TFM-55 coming your way in January!

Re: Hi-Tech Audio (Carver Equipment Repair)
Hi Rolland, nice to hear from you.
I sold my TFM42 that you refurbed for me, to another member & got a good price because it (the amp) had been "Rollandized".
He is very happy with it & it continues to perform flawlessly.
Glad things are busy for you.
Have a great Christmas & even better New Year.

Re: Hi-Tech Audio
Hi "m1.5tman", did you notice a large difference in the sound / musicality of the amp when you got it back? Rolland will be restoring my m-1.5t later this month.m1.5tman wrote:Thank you for the update, Rolland. My 1.5t is running strong and sounds great. Thanks again.

I can't remember specifically what all was done, but I can say the sound stage did increase. You won't be disappointed.ArthurFromCanada wrote:Hi "m1.5tman", did you notice a large difference in the sound / musicality of the amp when you got it back? Re: Hi-Tech Audio (Carver Equipment Repair)
Do you offer discounts on multipe pieces?
I have a M-400, M-400a and a C-1 that I want restored/ refurbished. Both the M-400 and the M-400a are in service now and sound great but lets face it, thay are old and need a face lift. My precious M-400a I bought brand new and is my pride and joy. The M-400 is an ebay find that I'm going to use while the 400a is being worked on. When the a comes back the C-1 goes for restoring, which I also bought brand new. Another of my Carver pieces that I cherish. The C-1 has a DC current issue? I have a second C-1, also an Ebay find I can use while I await my original C-1 to come home. Confused yet. I can't be without my Carver
( The Ebay C-1 will NOT be getting a facelift) Now once my original C-1 comes home, I will be sending my Ebay M-400 for restoration/refurbishing.
I have always wanted 2 M-400's. Now I will have a M-400a, and the C-1 that were bought brand new in 81, my most prized possesions totallt restored plus the M-400 totally restored that will last me my lifetime. What more can I ask? But at $299 each ouch, for someone like me on a fixed income. I want to try to do one piece a month as I'm on disability but $300 plus 2 way shipping.
I'm sure gonna try thats for sure. I need my Carver gear restored. I can't wait to hear them like new again.
Anyway, Rolland, if ya happen to pop in, maybe you could PM me and make me a muliti item deal?
