Well, with that sensitivity, if you put 1½V in at 1000Hz (AC), you should read 200W (0dB) on the LED meter with nothing attached. That would tell you if the thing will go into protection or not. If it passes that test, I wouldn't hesitate to attach speakers to it. Free signal generators are available for a computer, and you can attach it to a preamp and adjust the level on the preamp to get 1.5V out with the tone generator software generating 1kHz. You do have a volt meter, yes?
It should sound like it isn't there!
