If anyone is coming from the NE or East to Carverfest, this is worth a stop on the way or way back. It is located in Maggie Valley, NC and has the best historical motorcycles I have ever seen. Some are one of a kind. Even if not interested in motorcycles, great for history buffs. My wife and I have been several times and even she enjoyed the museum. I have not Mapquested, but probably an hour to hour and 1/2 from Bryson City. If interested, limited hours, so check the website. You can easily spend several hours in the museum.
