Brock,, since you seem to have a large disposable income,,go ahead and start looking for a tubed pre if you do not have one,,you'll be able to deal with the "fever" in a pro-active way.

Yeah, what's up with this? If you can't send me some of your disposable income then send me that amp! I promise I will take good care of it. I know who you are, do you really want me to post that Yu-tube video? This is an offer you can not refuse, think about it for a couple days.Zoot Horn wrote:Brock,, since you seem to have a large disposable income,,go ahead and start looking for a tubed pre if you do not have one,,you'll be able to deal with the "fever" in a pro-active way.

When you dial it in & after break-in with your system, let us know your opinion in the sonic differences between it and your Sunfire.

Re: And so it begins
Hey Guys,
Thanks for the enthuisiasm.
First question, should I get a tube cd player or a tube pre next? Recommendations?
Don, I couldn't afford those any of those amps. I don't know where George got the idea I had disposable income.
Wish I did...then I could buy one of those amps.
Yes, Beemer I will be bringing it to the fest along with whateve else I acquire by then.
I will try and provide a comparison between the two but I don't know if I have the vocabulary or the ears to provide a review except for something along the lines of...this freaking tube rocks
We'll see how it goes.

Well here is another Apple vs Orange thing!bsturgeon89 wrote:Hey Guys,

I say CD Player and for the money a jolida mod 2 - it will make your biggest punch for the buck over Pre-amp but then your going to want that warm rich mid-range that adding the pre will bring! again to me I say Tube CD first but that is me cause it will add tons to your sound field and really everything else will be tighter smoother and more open sounding!!! (THEN) you will want the pre and add to the warmth of the mid-range. AWESOME to see where your headed - JUST AWESOME!
