bought a remote for my ct-17 on epray for $42.99 shipped, less the I thought I would have to pay so Im happy, lost 2 others in last 6 months because I was not willing to pay over $50!! dont see them on auction very often so Im ok with it!! :-)
Carver Silver 7t mono blocks, Carver M-4.0t & 2 tfm 42,s. ct-6 & ct-17, sda390t,TX11 tuner, jolida jd 100A. JBL L96 & JBL 4401,s W/Ribbon Tweeters, Dared SL-2000A tube preamp, Dared MP-5BT Integrated vacuum tube amp, 2 sets of Carver Amazing Silver speakers, oak & black. That seems to be the going price. They control a variety of Carver tuners and pre amps.
In reality, it only matters what it sounds like to YOU!!!

And you need the remote on the CT-17 to control some functions. Not all functions are available via the front panel.

That's true. I also need mine so I don't have to get my lazy ass up to adjust the sound when commercials come on.

damn, a ct-17 that needs repair with a remote went for only 15 bucks more then I paid for just the remote, I would of bought that, oh well :-)
