I am using the psvane tubes as the control tubes in my Cherry 260's
I found the bass to be more solid, I like them.

The tubes mentioned above are 12ax7's I don't think they will work. I've been rolling tubes in a 490t for about two years. Actually I have two 490t's and do a side by side comparisions and what I have found is different types of music like different tubes i.e. jazz, country and rock. The stock tubes are good with all types and I like bugle boys and siemens for jazz but I'm not going to keep changing out tubes for differnent typs of music. I will say this, If the tubes in my players were to go bad I would try to replace the stock tubes first and if not possible I would use the siemens I have due to the fact I listen to a lot of jazz and blues and the sound stage with these is hard to beat.

Yeah the 490t uses 6dj8/6922's. I have Amperex orange globe 6dj8's in my 390t. Nice tubes slightly different from Bugle Boys.
