New Speaker Design Update

Post by Toy Maker » Fri Jun 03, 2011 7:17 am

This news deserves a full blown "FUCK MY ASS !!!" .... Owooooooo
Hello James,

Your order of ribbon tweeter RT2 and woofer LA4P was delivered on May 31 for shipment to Tampa, Florida. The name of the carrying vessel is "Ever Deluxe" v.0103E. ETD is June 3 and ETA is July 1.
We are making a prototype of the foam surround so that we can see if it will meet your requirement and get all costs for preparing a quotation. I will let you know the progress about this matter.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Raymond

I'll believe it when the fat lady sings. James, you exercised your lungs lately?
In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence.

The best way to enjoy digital music reproduction is to never listen to a good analogue reproduction.

The foam surrounds are in reference to a different thread that you can find here: http://carveraudio.com/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 28&t=11167

The foam surrounds are for the Carver Silver and Platinum woofers, we are having them made because they cannot be found anywhere.

I thought you were trying for a rubber replacement of the Silver/Plat surrounds to combat the rotting issue....

We looked around for WEEKS for someone who can do the Butyl rubber surrounds but it was all WAY TOO expensive... The tooling cost would have tripled the final price for each surround... ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)
