A TFM-42/45 would be perfect for your woofers, easier to find and the same power rating. I've got an original Sunfire Cinema Grand 200x5 running my AL-IIIs bi-amped and it sounds great and goes plenty loud. There was just one on eBay (purple) for $650 shipped.

^^^^yes^^^^^

Biamping is the way to go with those speakers. Horizontally if different amps, vertically if the same amp.

Let me see if I understand you Mr Rabbit . Use one amp to run the highs and lows on the same speaker if both amps are the same, and use one amp to run highs on both speakers and the other to run the lows on both speakers if the amps are different.

Correct. I like the first choice better because usually the demands of one half of the speaker are greater than the other at any moment in time, and that balances the use of the power supply in that amp. Whereas, the demands on one part of the speakers in both channels (stereo) are similar.

I switched back to just the m-4.0t running both Al-lll's. I like the sound better , not overly impressed with the 7t though it does have plenty of power. Maybe it needs recapped or tuned up.

That would be my thought - Time to have them up-dated. The 7t should sound impressive or at least equal to the 4.0t
