And on top of those tests, this base is 30% bigger, the old base was 18 inches across the front, this one is 25 inches across the front.

Re: New ALS Speaker "Base Design" Update

Here is the final "approved" base design for the new ALS Speakers.
I sent the renderings to Bob for appoval, and here was his reply, "Stunning! You are a genius! Real art."

I'll be working one the casting pattern here for the next couple weeks, and will have them cast in aluminum by March 1st.

The new design looks much more stable. I'd be afraid of the three legged one tipping back to the side, but that's just me. Great work! =D> I thought these were going to be on sale some time this month? :-k

The Bob's did not like the 3 leg design. 3 wheel flip verses quad wheeler flip mentality.

Re: FINAL ALS Speaker "Base Design" (see page 4)

The Tri-base was plenty stable. 20+ degrees till it would tip over.
The Quad-base is even more stable.

So unless you REALLY piss your wife off, or let her drunk ass friends use it as a stripper pole, I don't see one of these ever tipping over (by accident at least)

Cool; mount the top to the ceiling & sell it as a combo speaker & stripper pole!

WIN!

I don't know... they're right down the street from you. Go knock on Bob's door, and take a listen.

Here is what i got a couple days ago....

Bob C. wrote:Man! These speakers may just be the best sounding speakers there are. I cannot believe it! I have to pinch myself to see if it's all true. How great they have become is difficult to believe. Very majestic with acoustic space, imaging, and detail that we could only dream of. When Jordon and I fired them off this week, we really and truly exposed ourselves to what dreams are made of.

Holy moly rollers!
