Snoop.

You are correct, the VPI is one of 4 Turntables, the main system uses the VPI
the basement system I use the Technics or the Music Hall, the B&O is fragile so I keep
that in storage.

1) VPI Classic c/w Shelter 901
2) Technics SL-1200 mk5 c/w Benz Ace
3) B&O 8000 c/w MCC20
4) Music Hall MF 5.1 c/w Denon 103R

I had a 1 1/4 inch thick slab of granite cut to 22x18 inches and added audio spikes to it to make a isolation platform for my new toy. The sound is AWESOME!!!!! If i don't post for awhile you'll know what I'm doing!!! 8)

I ended up putting my Rega P-5 on the glass shelf that came with my Sunfire 400X5. I have it on 1/2 inch Sorbothane. My heavy home made audio rack sits on a concrete floor. Rega makes a stand to mount TTs to the wall to help isolate them but I think I got it covered with the Sorbothane.

Sounds good OO!!! If you are interested though my granite slab cost me about $130.00. They are about a mile from me. I could give you their number.

Snoop

The 1200 & Benz works real nice for Jazz and Classical, but the bottom end is not there.
The Shelter works so well with Classic Rock, and thats where most of my vinyl spinning is
nice hi's and great bottom end. Its a pity that you are not coming to CF11 and try it out
for your self. OO is going to there.

LOL!!! Yes you missed it! I am absolutely loving the MMF-9.1/Grado combo! It's may me add to my already large (about two thousand records) collection. Music Direct has been getting a lot of my money lately! :D
