And on top of those tests, this base is 30% bigger, the old base was 18 inches across the front, this one is 25 inches across the front.

Here is the final "approved" base design for the new ALS Speakers.
I sent the renderings to Bob for appoval, and here was his reply, "Stunning! You are a genius! Real art."

I'll be working one the casting pattern here for the next couple weeks, and will have them cast in aluminum by March 1st.

Looks great! I like your three "leg" design better though. Why did you switch up?

The new design looks much more stable. I'd be afraid of the three legged one tipping back to the side, but that's just me. Great work! =D> I thought these were going to be on sale some time this month? :-k

The Tri-base was plenty stable. 20+ degrees till it would tip over.
The Quad-base is even more stable.

So unless you REALLY piss your wife off, or let her drunk ass friends use it as a stripper pole, I don't see one of these ever tipping over (by accident at least)
