Silver amazing woofers

Post by cring08 » Sat Jan 21, 2012 7:51 pm

Ok guys. I haven't seen anything on here yet stating the surrounds are available yet? #-o

So, should I get replacements from dynavox? :^o

I just cracked the last two good surrounds I had left.

I would go ahead and order the replacements and hang on to the bad woofers so you can repair them or sell them later to someone so they can replace the surrounds if and when they come along. I have replaced all of mine, had the ribbons and crossovers rebuilt also. Remember to test the new speakers before you install them, listen for any ticking or odd sounds. And while you have the rear covers off would you please let me know where the neg lead for the ribbons are connected.
Thanks....

Thanks for looking at that and getting back to me. Here is we're the confusion comes in the woofers are wired out of phase from the ribbons . So if you look at the bottom speaker is the wire for the ribbon on the left or right set of spades. Thanks

Sorry to hear jjptkd! I am trying to avoid that scenario. I have a magnet that broke loose, and now need all foam surrounds.

I agree with the replacements they sound great after you break them in for about 10 days. They are exact replacements and mine fit right in and had two sets of spades on all of them.

I think I will be placing the Dynavox order this weekend.

I will box up and store the originals.

I deal with a few international vendors who outsource through China.

Who could get some specs to me to get pricing?

I asked this on another post, but I need more than dimensions.

I would have to provide EXACTLY what we neeed, IE.. material used, thickness, drawings, etc...

I will be meeting the vendor in Vegas for a trade show at the end of February.

Any thoughts?
