what type of Amp???

Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a ton of questions, but I'll start with just 1..
Not very knowledgable about Amps, so I need alot of help please. I have a Denon 4311ci which is powering 7.1 speakers.
My front L/R mains are Swan Diva 6.1 ( not alot of money here so please excuse the equipment) I would like to switch speaker eventually to polk rti a9, but for now it's the diva's. What amp would you suggest I use for my front 2 speakers or would you suggest amping the front 3(center is old infinity video speaker, does a good job though)
I mainly watch tv and blu ray, and about 30 % music.
The 4311 is rated at 140WPC. But it seems to be lacking in the front 2(l/r) when watching movies and listening to 2 channel music.
Any help is most appreciated as to what amp you might suggest in a modest say 400-500 dollar range.

What exactly is "lacking" from the front speakers? Are you sure it's not the speakers?

What sub are you using?

What seems to be lacking is power(loudness/volume), my old denon 3803 seemed to have more power, the diva's are great for HT, but kinda lack on 2 channel music, that's why I want to eventually sell them and try out the polk RTi A9.
The diva's are rated up to 200 watts, 8 Ohm.
My Sub is an old Polk PSW300 still works good.
Hey Peck555 do you think that amp would power the RTi A9 as well which are rated up to 500 watts.?

Welcome!! In the $400-$500 range you can do much better then the M-1.0t in my opinion. M-500t, M-1.5t, TFM-35 or TFM 42/45, all of which can usually be had for $500 or less.

For starters, your Denon has 4 discrete amp channels dedicated to the mains (has 9 amplified channels, 4 of which can be used as main L/R), so you can bi-amp your Diva's and feed them more power while you are getting everything sorted out. While not true bi-amping in the purist sense since all channels drink from the same power supply, you will definitely be feeding them more power than a standard hookup. I've read the Diva's 6.1 are bi-ampable, but haven't seen a pair myself. There's probably a jumper between the dual terminals on the back, which you would remove and then feed the two terminal pairs from the appropriate amp channels.

maybe a carver tfm55 or a sunfire 300x2 as those are the two of the five amps that i own and like the most. i heard a m1.0t and did not care for it. it has been said though that if you do get one that has been modified with the richp opt2 mod, they are really hard to beat. i do not know first hand so i can't say.

Yes they do look alot like B&W. They are Chinese made and fit my budget, they sound great for HT, but not so good to my ear for music.
I'll have to figure out how to Bi Amp them, would that change the ohm rating going into the speakers? not to tech savy sorry.

In the last pic you show the binding posts. If you remove the speaker wires and loosen both sets of posts, both of the the gold pieces of metal that are bridging (connecting) the upper and lower posts will come off. Reconnect a pair of speaker wires to the top set and use another pair of speaker wires to connect the bottom set to the appropriate amp outputs on your receiver. It will now be two 4 ohm loads, so set your amp accordingly. You will also need to make sure your Denon is set to 7.1 with 2 sets of main outputs, as opposed to 9.1. That's it.

One more question.. does it matter if the amp is thx certified or not if using for ht while listening to either of the dolby formats? Will my auddesy sound field from reciever still come through the amp?
