Carverfest amp best suited to what speakers

So far I have tried my Carverfest Monoblocks with 4 different sets of speaks. Polk SDA-1C's polk RTA11's and Dahlquist DQ-8's and all of them sounded really good. Today I got the notion to start to thin out my inventory so I listed a pair of speaks on Craigslist but before I did that I hooked them up to my amps. All I can say is HOLY FUCK with the tone controls set at less than flat on my CT-6 the bass is room shaking solid and the highs are very detailed and transparent. Switch on Sonic Halography and the whole experience just goes to a whole new level WOW!. Kind of makes me think I should keep my Pioneer HPM-40's fucking outstanding.

Sounded awful good when tried on my Legacy's. Also, used extensively on my Dynaco's, where they are currently playing. Key is to use on an efficient speaker, IMHO.

Re: Carverfest amp best suited to what speakers

Well I picked a pair of Polk Monitor 10's yesterday with the stands. They needed two drivers changed and I just happened to have the correct ones in my stash. I need to remove some of the other speakers from the bedroom so I can space them out a little but the first impression of these is very nice with the tube monoblocks and my new tube pre in the system.
