Re: Photo from Axpona

hey guys. they sound better than the wooden cabins i heard them in first, and have an even better stage, etc. as these are again new drivers, i am waiting until the last day before i throw any kind of thoughts out on them. there are alot of cool systems here, and the one next to us is the mbl room. over 130k for the second from the top in speakers with 50k plus cd/da and over 60k in amps. not even the flagship speakers, but nice for sure. the more i listen to these 100k plus systems, the more i wish i had the money for bob's new stuff, as bob may be the underdog once again in price to performance ratio. i really am starting to appreciate what i own even more as it takes more than i ten fold in cash to go to the next day/night level of audio, and even then bob does it with ease with the new als and tube amps for under 36k with 305 amps, soon to have new silver sevens. i heard one set of speakers that have the 120k plus tag on them and though huh, really. even at 22k , i would, could, and can buy almost 6 sets of the als ones. the same other company sels 6/tweeter cabinet for 19k. wtf. i would not image they will sell many if they listen to bob's stuff first.

Man, sure do wish I could be there for this! I'd love to get my ears on some of this equipment, mainly to compare it with my stuff. Not that I could afford to buy any of the high $ products, but just to get an idea of what differences that kind of cash outlay could bring. Thanks Angelo. Will be looking forward to your impressions.
