Re: hello

I would suggest buying some re foam kits for the speakers. Look at Parts Express or several other places on line. Good luck!

Re: hello

Welcome...you are gonna love it here! I had some AAL's on my first system, they sounded great with those big ole paper woofers.

I sent some woofers here thanks to forum member jjptkd:

"Around the sound" in Seattle does great work. I've had numerous Klipsch speakers re-coned there over the years. The guy has been in business over 30 years.

Re: hello

If the amp continues to cut out (I assume going into protection) you need to check the inputs on the speakers with a multimeter for resistance/impedance..you may have burned a coil.

Re: hello

=D> \:D/ =D> Welcome!! \:D/ =D> \:D/ Sorry to hear about your speakers. There's a couple options available if you cannot find or afford replacement woofers. You could find new foam surround kits (assuming the foam rotted) and fix them yourself or you could have the drivers re-coned. The re-coning option isn't exactly cheap, $60-$75 each woofer but they will be original spec and like brand new. You want to stick with original woofers if you replace them or they might not sound right. Hope this helps, good luck!
