Feeler: WTS Sunfire 200x5 & WTB Sunfire 200x7
So I'm thinking about selling my original Sunfire Cinema Grand 200x5 amplifier. I am the original owner. I have the original box, manual and glass base. Unit is in excellent condition. I am also looking at buying a Sunfire 200x7 amplifier. I am open on which model, as long as it has at least 200w x 7 channels. Anybody interested? For me to buy I need to sell off my Cinema Grand 200 x 5. I am located in Leander, a suburb of Austin, Texas. Thank you.

Is your 200x5 a 19" model or 17"? Could you post some pictures?

This is the original Cinema Grand and according to the owners manual it is 19W x 6.5H x 15.75D. I can take pictures tomorrow evening. I won't be home till late to try today.

What do you want for the 200x5????
In reality, it only matters what it sounds like to YOU!!!

I'd like somewhere around the going rate + shipping. I think I have seen them go around +/- $900 lately in great shape, $800+ with scratches. It's negotiable.

Have you thought about just adding a 2 channel amp? Even if you got $900 for your 200x5, the 200x7s are much less common and typically sell for closer to $1500. You could add a small Carver like a TFM-15 or A-220x for the smallest pair of speakers in your system to save money or go bigger with a 300x2 for the front mains. Just throwing some options out there for ya...

I don't have space for two amps. I've seen the 7 channel ones out there from time to time. Worst case I'll buy a 7-channel non-Sunfire amp if I sell my 5 channel.

13 Pictures in this Slideshow. Had to move the amp to a better lighted area.

Wow, that's a really nice, clean Cinema Grand! You just don't find them in this condition that often, hopefully someone here is in need and grabs this quick.

Thank you. It probably helps to have had one owner it's whole life and that owner is quite picky and careful about his electronics equipment.
It's been a year of change for my electronics. I've changed my Integra preamp this year from the DTC-9.8 to the current DHC-80.3 and I also changed my speakers. I got some Monitor Audio GX300 towers in the front and a GXC350 Center for the 5.1 setup. I will finish off the rear with either the GX300 or GX200 towers. Only hold-outs are my trusty Velodyne F1800RII subwoofer. Needless to say this system rocks. Thinking about adding either some Monitor Audio GX-FX speakers or maybe some GX100 bookshelf speakers to make this system 7.1. Still thinking about it, which is why I'm looking into going for the 7 channel Sunfire.
