Re: Carver "Silver Four" Monoblock project

Those tube amps must just sound incredible with the maggies. A friend of mine has an older pair of 2c's? powered by a Carver A-400x and they sound VERY good low to mid volume. I've always been curious to try some of the larger 3 way maggies, some day.... Anyway, congrats again on the amps and the new home!! =D> =D>

Can you please clarify :-" :-" :-" :-" :-"

Or that statement could be B.S.

I'm real happy that you have them working after al that time.

Brian

There is a bit of difference between them, and I do honestly think mine sound better. IThe difference may be that I used better power caps (Kendiel 45ov/470uf instead of the 450v/360uf caps that Bob's use.) Kendiel is used by Krell and Naim as well. Don't know if that makes a huge difference, but the fact that Bob spent a couple hours per chassis tweeking these after they powered up may have played a bigger difference. He got the frequency response on these to be damn near flat from about 17htz to 25khtz. He seemed a bit suprised by that...
