Re: Finally get to play with a TFM-75!!

With all the interest, auction is the only way to go. Will be cool to see what it would go for. I'll say $1850 (signed and refurbed)... "Pool" winner get's a PP buck from all the losers, anyone? Closest to final bid wins and you can go over...
Family room: 400 disk changer with PS Audio Digital Link III DAC; Technics SL-1100A TT. QED Quenx1 IC's from DAC & TT to Adcom GTP-602 preamp/Tuner. AudioQuest King Cobra IC's from preamp to M1.0t mk-II opt2. QED Silver Spirals 4M wires to EPI 1000’s.
Living room: AudioQuest Black Mamba 8M IC's from family room preamp to Barcus-Berry 2002R Sonic Maximizer to GlowPower Zyxt IC's to Sunfire 300x2 to Nordost 6M bi-source wires to AOS 28" MDF spherical speakers using six 8" woofers and eight 1" dome tweeters symm. arranged around the surface.
SS system: CX-995V DVD to AV-705x 5 channel amp (center/rears) & M1.0t mk-II opt2(fronts).
Garage: TLM-3600 CDP to MXR150 Receiver (pre) to TFM-42 to EPI 400 speakers.

Re: Finally get to play with a TFM-75!!

I honestly think I may keep this one, unless I just don't like the way it sounds. If I put this up for auction on eBay, the opening bid would be $2k shipped. If I sell it to someone here, a bit less then that... O:) O:)

Re: Finally get to play with a TFM-75!!

Wow! I dont know how I missed this thread man congrats =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/ very nice score at that price. Im curious to know what needs to be replaced or freshened up when they pop the top at Rita's. Should you try it "as is" before Rita's to see if there was an improvement after she is done? :-k

Also looking forward to your review as you try it on your Klipsch Chorus speakers. My 75 was very slightly muddy on the top end compared to the 600x2 on all speakers I tried until the DQ20's. When I hooked up the 20's they out performed all other speakers by a wide margine and the when I put the 75 on them it out performed the 600x2 pretty easily on the top end.

Hey if Kingman or mbskeam dont pickup on the first ring call me......LOL

Depends entirely on what condition the caps are in to begin with....

Re: Finally get to play with a TFM-75!!

it was a maintenance thing on mine, both the 75 and 2400.
I did not hear any change.

It may have been a maintenance thing today - - - but it would have been a major problem very soon! :(

So how does the amp sound? Compared to the others??

I assume you didn't like it since you have it up on E-bay.
