Those might be Mullards that were sold to Siemens and labeled Siemens. If so they should be the same as the Mullards you already have. Chauss should know for sure. Send him a pm.
Thats what I was thinking Snoop, they look to be Mullards. I have 6DJ8 mullards but dont have any 12AX7 Mullards yet, thats why Im thinking about trying them.

Those look look Blackburn Mullards....nice rare tube- go for it!!!
How did you like the RFT's? - I think they are a little "crisper" than the Mullards, but then again each system is a bit different too.
If you like acoustic guitar music- the Mullards are a GREAT tube for that!

Check toward the bottom of page 8, that was my first impression of the RFT's. I really like them and they are not even broke in yet.

Good to hear- Glad you are enjoying them! They are one of my favorites-at least in my system-
Mullards are right behind them but sound best with more "intimate" music IMHO (ie: smaller settings)

Cheers!

MRHT,
What tubes did you finally decide to go with in your SD/A 490t?
I'm interested in a recommendation for upgrade tubes for my 490t

Thanks...

Try some Amperex Bugle Boys. I found the late 50's or early 60's era to have the best overall sound for my system (to me).

Hey Dennis,
Sorry for the slow reply I've been working alot of hours lately.
After nearly wearing to tube sockets out of my 490t I find myself always coming back to the Siemens CCa. They just work. As Bob once said "everything is there". I know they can be expensive but you will forget about the cost once you hear them.
