Re: Finally get to play with a TFM-75!!

I took this amp to Rita, told her to go through the amp and do whatever she felt necessary to ensure it would last a long time. She opened it up, tested everything and said it was very much like new inside and that it wouldn't need service for many years to come. The guy I bought this from said it only had about 20 hours on it total since new. I trust Rita with all things Carver so I didn't push the whole re-cap issue. This amp is really in very nice condition, paint still has a shine to it.

I like the way it sounds but in all fairness I like how most of anything Carver sounds and am really stuck on Sunfire power. I've already got a TGP-IV & 425x5 combo plus an Ultimate Receiver and I'm very happy with both setups. If I had the money to keep treasures laying around this would be one to keep for sure but I just can't swing it right now. :? I've got one guy local who's offered me $2k cash so far, figured I'd give it at least the whole weekend though before letting it go.

Re: Finally get to play with a TFM-75!!

It didn't best my 425x5 Sunfire, I'll leave it at that for all the die hards, but then again, I prefer my 425x5 over the 625x2 on my klipsch speakers... :-s :-s
