They'd likely shut down and go into protect mode. One of those amps in stereo should be enough power according to the specs.

How low? Had a Pair of Kappa 9's bi amped with 2 M-4.0t's. The kappas drop down into low ohms too. You pull out those 12 amp fuses your running and put some 15 amp fuses in there, you should be smooth runnin.

Their nominal impedance is 3 ohms, but they run at 1 ohm quite a bit. Therefore, your amp(s) will not drive them at any reasonable volume without shutting down. You'd need an amp rated to drive 1 ohm loads such as one of the older Krell KSA's or the newer Musical Fidelity Titan.

My Kappa 9's dip down into .7 ohms to be exact in extended mode if i wasn't biamping them. At ear splitting volume F-1nut is right you need a lower load amp "like the siver seven t's im running now" If your trying to go deaf. At normal or loud volume? If my Kappa 9's can be driven by these amps yours can to. If i had listend to people who told me theres no way those amps can drive those speakers i would have never known. Both those amps have protection mode so they won't be harmed or harm your speakers. Do it, thank me later. Bob told me one would be good unless im trying to set records with an SPL meeter. These are very powerful amps and can seriously be underestimated. Make sure you change the fuses to 15 amps. Let us know how it sounded. I shouldn't be the only one that knows this.

BTW my Sunfire TGPIII would get to about -23db on the volume before the driver amp would clip on certain music, clasical? -18db. Thats at 75% to 85% on the volume, thats loud. Tell me where your clipping point is once you get going there. Doubt your highside amp will clip before it starts to distort.

Interesting specs listed for the Divas,

Maximum SPL - 115db SPL @ 4m with 100W amplifier in a 18'x25'x8' room

Sensitivity @ 3m - 87dB

Looks like fuzzy math to me.

Gene, what SPL's are you talking about here? I mean, what is loud to you might not be to someone else.
BTW my Sunfire TGPIII would get to about -23db on the volume before the driver amp would clip on certain music, clasical? -18db. Thats at 75% to 85% on the volume
Where did you come up with 75% to 85%?

"like the siver seven t's im running now"
What SPL do you get from running them? I ask because I've heard them driving Plat's and the SPL did not get all that loud before audible distortion became quite apparent.

Forgive the ignorrance gentlemen, but I just dusted off the instruction manual of the M-4.0t and the show me what the mono configuration setup looks like, but there is no mention or drawing of bridged config...are they the same thing!? Thanks!

I am asking that we share our hard earn Knowledge without sharp words of sarcasuim. Everyone here has learn by there past experience on what works and what does not. I get the same from my Minelab metal detecting forum. Sometime both parties can be right depending on what you are looking for and the exact model in question. I ask the original question because it is a $5,000 dollar project that I really dont know if it would work prior to the link. So I dont want to be on the hook for a few more G,s just to hear them... Thanks...
