Re: A-220

Well it arrived today. A very good condition A-220. FedEx dropped it off at 8:30 this am. Needless to say the amp was quite refrigerated when I took it out of the box.
Went home during lunch, unboxed it and set it on the side so that it could warm up to room temp prior to setup.
Looking forward to the test drive tonight.

Re: A-220

Well just as I had hoped. The A-220 really opened up the range of the LSi7s. Wow. They sound fantastic. Thanks to Rick in Greensboro who worked with me on this amp.

Built some speaker stands for the LSi7s using granite remnants as bases, 2x2 square oak posts and oak 3/4" x 5" x 8" for top plank. These have proven to be stout little stands and didn't set me back much at all.
Needless to say I'm more than pleased with this setup.
Thanks: angelod307, jjptkd, EndersShadow and frankieD for your input and advise!

One of the best bang for your buck amps in my opinion is the Carver A-400x. No fancy meters but they can usually be had for less then the A-220 and are almost double the power.

Agree with Jesse... wish I had the one I sold...
